A Magical Wedding at Miraval Gardens | Lauren & Patrick


I had the absolute joy of photographing Lauren and Patrick’s wedding at the stunning Miraval Gardens in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Lauren + Patrick radiated kindness, warmth, and love— it was contagious from the first click of the shutter.


Then I had the pleasure of meeting their amazing wedding party. Let me just say—this crew brought the energy, the laughs, and the love. The bridal suite at Miravel Gardens was absolutely gorgeous—elegant and spacious, perfect for capturing those sweet pre-ceremony moments. OH - and I can’t say enough good things about the venue staff and coordinator. They were a dream to work with, helping the day flow smoothly from beginning to end.


One of the biggest wins of the day? We dodged the rain! With storms looming in the forecast, we lucked out and got to sneak in a heartfelt first look and a beautifully dry ceremony before the skies opened up later in the evening.


The ceremony itself was stunning—not just visually, but emotionally. Lauren and Patrick incorporated a truly unique and moving tradition I’d never seen before: a guest stood and asked everyone to place a hand on the shoulder of the person next to or in front of them, forming a human chain of support that reached all the way to the bride and groom. It was a powerful moment—a tangible symbol of love and unity, showing that every guest was there not just to witness their vows, but to stand with them in their marriage. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the garden.


After a quick break post-ceremony, we wrapped up group portraits—and let me tell you, this wedding had so many adorable kids! I don’t always get to see little ones at weddings, and it added such a playful, joyful energy to the day. Some of my favorite candid shots are of the kids being their silly, sweet selves.


And then came the reception… oh my goodness. This crowd knew how to PARTY. But first—Lauren and Patrick surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance that looked like it was pulled straight from a Disney fairytale.

Picture a ballroom-style waltz, graceful turns, soft twirls, and that perfect “prince and princess” moment that felt like it belonged in a scene from Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast. It was dreamy, romantic, and so perfectly them.


From there, the energy never dropped. About halfway through, the couple was mobbed by their guests in the best way—a surprise dance that had nearly the whole room involved. From then on, the dance floor never emptied. There were dance circles, impromptu performances, kids busting out their best moves—it was one of the most joy-filled, high-energy receptions I’ve ever photographed.


Lauren and Patrick are beautiful inside and out. They were so gracious, so kind, and so incredibly fun to work with—not to mention their family and friends who welcomed me in like one of their own. I’m genuinely grateful they chose me to capture their love story.


Oh—and did I mention these two met while working at Disney World? Yep. It all makes sense now. Their magic is the real kind. ✨
