A new years eve wedding

I had the honor of photographing a “Roaring 20’s” themed wedding on New Years Eve!

The theme was the perfect touch to a New Year’s Eve wedding. The guests participated happily in their flapper dresses, feathers, and sequins galore. Throwing a themed wedding takes a lot of work and participation from guests, but this couple nailed it!

The weather was bitter cold, but the sun was shining bright. A January wedding in this region can be tricky with snow and ice, but this couple was gifted a beautiful (chilly) day. Our bride chose to wear a gorgeous white shawl for the outdoor pictures, which complimented her dress and theme so perfectly. We were also able to capture some beautiful crepuscular rays (also known as sunbeams) which you can see in the images I am sharing.

The venue of choice was the Barn at Bull Meadow. If you have not been to an event there, you are missing out! This venue is newer to the Concord area, and it is majestic. The fields, the trees, the outside patio, the large barn windows and chandeliers, I could go on and on! The staff was wonderful, which is important to note. Bull Meadow offers 2 rooms on site to get ready, as well as a dedicated room for your vendors to work out of. If you are considering this venue, I give this one 5 stars.

The lovely couple chose to share their vows in private, and I was privileged to attend to photograph the exchange. If you or your partner are on the fence about sharing vows during the ceremony, I highly encourage you to ask your photographer and videographer to capture a private exchange before the ceremony, right after the first look.

I had so much fun and I am so grateful for the opportunity to participate in yet another wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple!
