This wedding had a lot of "firsts" for me!


Most notably, this wedding was the first time I pierced a bride's ear. This sounds crazier than it was, but Stephanie had not worn earrings in a hot minute, and when she went to put her wedding day earrings in, one just would NOT PUSH through. After mom, friend, and bride all tried to get the earring in, it was time for me to put the camera down and pull out my "back-up maid-of-honor hat".


After wiping a smidge of blood away, our bride was ready for her first look with her groom! The ceremony and reception were both held at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club in Atkinson, New Hampshire. This venue was beautiful and had a variety of opportunities for shots.


Another first at this special wedding, was a surprise appearance by Jon Bon Jovi himself!


Well, a cardboard cut-out, but he was still fun to have around.


Lastly, this reception was very kid-friendly! It has been a while since I have been to a wedding with a solid kid presence, and let me tell you, kids can really make the party fun. As a mother myself, I also know how UN-FUN kids can make formal events at times. All the children in attendance at this wedding were well behaved and had the best time beating each other with styrofoam glow sticks on the dance floor.
