April and Nathan’s engagement session at Steele Hill Resort in Sanbornton, New Hampshire was a total dream from start to finish. Nestled in the Lakes Region with panoramic views and the most romantic golden hour light, this session felt like something out of a love story—and these two were the perfect main characters.
We wandered the hilltop grounds with the lake in the distance catching just enough sun to sparkle. As the sun dipped low, it gave us that golden glow photographers chase and couples swoon over. It was the kind of evening where the light does half the work for you—but to be honest, April and Nathan made my job easy. They were natural, playful, and completely at ease in each other’s arms. There’s something so special about photographing couples who don’t just pose for photos, but who live in them—and that’s exactly what these two did.
One fun and personal touch? We swapped traditional champagne pops for Polar seltzer (it's what I had on hand!) which the groom happens to love just as much as I do! It added the perfect little New England twist (and a splash of personality) to their bubbly celebration shots.
And this won’t be the last time I get to photograph these two—I'll be seeing them again this fall when they’re part of another wedding I’m shooting! It’s always such a joy to reconnect with couples and see their love grow from different angles and milestones.
To April and Nathan—thank you for letting me be part of your story. I can’t wait to capture more of it soon.
