Perfect weather for a perfect day in lONDONDERRY, nEW hAMPSHIRE.
When I first heard Taitum and Shawn wanted to utilize the Londonderry Historical Society for their formal wedding photos, I immediately took to researching what this area looked like (research being me typing with 2 fingers "LoNdOnDeRrY HiStOrIcAl SoCiEtY WeDdInG").
Tucked in to the apple orchards of Londonderry, New Hampshire, I found the most adorable historic red barn and old green house surrounded by fields and trees. Dreamy is an understatement! If you are a local to New Hampshire, you may be a frequent patron at Mack's Apples in the fall. The Parmenter Barn and Morrison House are on land donated by the Mack family to the historical society.
I love photographing couples in new places, the creativity just flows like water and is a very fun and refreshing.
When shooting a new spot on a wedding day, I have to remind myself we have a timeline to stick to when I am getting lost in creativity. I am a stickler for that timeline!
Taitum and Shawn were easy to work with, I absolutely love the shots we got! We had a little under 30 minutes to capture their formal portraits of just the two of them, and this couple made it count.
After their session at the Londonderry Historical Society, we quickly drove down the road to the ceremony. They had set up what can only be described as the most elegant and visually aesthetic ceremony and reception spaces, decorated in soft pinks, greens, and whites. The couple made much of the decor themselves, including building multiple wooden pieces which you will see on display below.
Not only did they make and design most of the decorations, Taitum made all the desserts. Including the wedding cake.
I can attest that the desserts were visually adorable and just as delicious.
The men in the wedding party wore a color I have not photographed yet! A dark green that was subtle but green enough. Could this mean the end of the blue wedding suits? I think this couple is already on to what I am sure will be the newest wedding trend. Green suits look so good!
One other tidbit about this wedding that stood out to me: the couple made sure my second shooter and I had our own seat and table. This is never an expectation I have of my clients, but I always appreciate when clients offer us dinner. I have made the mistake of not packing enough snacks and water for an 8 hour day of running around, and it was a painful mistake to make! I really loved having a small table set aside in the reception tent. This allowed us to have a place to put things down, grab a quick chug of water, and grab a bite without missing any important moments or impromptu reception fun.
