This past Friday, I had the honor of photographing Shai and Brandon’s wedding at Pat’s Peak in Henniker, NH—a day filled with love, emotion, and unforgettable moments. From the preparations at a cozy Airbnb in Bradford to the beautifully intimate ceremony and heartfelt reception, every part of the day reflected the deep connection these two share.
We kicked off the day capturing the ladies getting ready at a charming Airbnb nestled in Bradford, NH. The room buzzed with excitement and laughter as Shai and her bridesmaids shared stories, sipped on drinks, and prepared for the big moment. One of the sweetest highlights of the morning was Shai’s first look with her bridesmaids—tears, joy, and tight hugs followed as they saw her in her wedding dress for the first time.
Once we arrived at Pat’s Peak, the excitement only grew. Shai began with a touching first look with the dads, a moment filled with pride and happy tears. But it was the next first look—between Shai and Brandon—that stood out as the best first look of the day. Surrounded by the love of their family and friends, who watched from a distance, Shai and Brandon shared this quiet moment, soaking in the significance of their day.
The FINAL first look of the day was between Brandon and their adorable baby girl. The joy on Brandon’s face as he held her, his emotions on full display, were so warming. Watching him embrace every moment with his daughter and share his happiness so openly was moving, tears flowing from the couple, their parents, and everyone lucky enough to witness it.
Shai and Brandon’s ceremony reflected their unique bond. The couple incorporated a knot-tying ritual, symbolizing the strength of their union. Adding a playful twist, their wedding rings were hidden under a guest’s seat, creating a memorable moment when they were discovered and delivered to the couple.
A live painter quietly worked in the background, capturing the beauty of the ceremony on canvas, a special keepsake that would continue to take shape throughout the evening.
As night fell, we stepped away from the reception to capture some night portraits. The result was a set of moody, intimate photos. These portraits, with their deep shadows and soft lighting, captured the quiet romance of the day amid the lively celebration.
What stood out most during the reception was how intentional Shai and Brandon were about spending quality time with every guest. It was clear that they valued each person who came to celebrate with them, and they made sure to express their gratitude through meaningful conversations and shared moments throughout the night.
