Capturing Spencer and Emily’s Enchanting Wedding at La Villa Louisa: A WHIRLWIND WEEKEND!
What an incredible weekend it was. After wrapping up a beautiful wedding in Maine, I hit the road for a drive down to Connecticut, where I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding of Spencer and Emily at La Villa Louisa in Bolton. This couple was truly made for me to photograph, and every moment felt like pure magic.
From the moment I met Emily, I knew she was going to be a dream to work with. The accessories she chose from her veil to her necklace were bold, unique, and SCREAMED fall wedding! With her piercing blue eyes, she radiated beauty and joy. Not only was she the epitome of a perfect bride with her calm and cheerful demeanor, but she’s also a fellow Disney adult and a Swiftie. Obviously we are now BFF'S. What more could I ask for?
During their portrait session, the wind decided to join the festivities, tousling Emily’s dress, hair and veil. It was a whimsical touch that added an enchanting vibe to the day. The breeze brought life to our photos, and I loved capturing the moments as they unfolded.
La Villa Louisa served as the ideal backdrop for their love story. With its picturesque gardens and elegant indoor spaces, the venue was filled with charm and beauty. Every corner was a perfect setting for capturing the couple’s genuine love and the joyous atmosphere of the day.
After so much cloudy weather this wedding season, I was thrilled to see that Spencer and Emily were finally blessed with stunning golden hour light! It was a welcome surprise that allowed us to create some truly breathtaking portraits. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the soft, warm glow enveloped them, illuminating them in a way that was simply unforgettable.
As we took portraits during golden hour, I was reminded of how rewarding this job can be. Emily and Spencer shared sweet glances and tender moments that perfectly illustrated their deep connection.
One comical moment I will remember from this wedding, was chasing down the bride and groom as the bride's father started to drive them away after the ceremony. This marked the first time I have had to chase down a vehicle to make sure my couple stayed for their family portraits! We had a good laugh.
I couldn’t help but feel SO grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Spencer and Emily’s wedding day. Photographing their wedding was easy, because they were SO filled with joy, love, and happiness.
Thank you Spencer and Emily, for allowing me to be a part of your incredible journey. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and of course, a sprinkle of Disney magic!
